King Air Series G1000 Audio STC for Special Mission Ops
CE Avionics achieved the approval of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) number SA04190NY on 02/07/2020. By teaming with Becker Avionics we are able to bring a long-awaited Digital Audio Solution for tactical King Air operators.
King Air’s equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite do not have the number of transceivers required to adequately support most special mission operations.
Removing the Garmin installed audio panel creates errors in the G1000 environment and the use of adapters to install additional radios and audio panels for the cabin often results in lowered performance.
This STC modification seamlessly marries the convenience of an integrated flight deck and replaces the Garmin GMA 13XX Audio Panel with a reliable, callable, and flexible Becker DVCS 6100, Digital Voice Communication System, reducing crew workload and providing up to four observer or operator station.
The STC applies to the Textron Aviation/Beechcraft 200 & 300 King air Series Aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000 Integrated Flight Deck. Integrating the G1000 with the Becker DVCS 6100 represents a monumental step forward for current users of legacy analog systems and a logical choice for Special Mission King Air Operators looking for digital audio solutions for use in Law Enforcement, Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search & Rescue (SAR), Aerial Mapping, Air Ambulance, Fire Suppression, Air to Ground Command & Control, and almost any other Special Mission application.
